![]() UEFI installation was cool with me (atleast I could install), though ACPI errors in live mode brought hell to me everytime. I couldn't shut down, reboot or suspend, and some installations didn't start, it was really painful. I managed to get Mint installed smoothly, Studio 18.10 was erroneous for me, Kubuntu didn't install. I kinda gave up on it 'cause I couldn't find a solution. Solution The reason for this Kernel driver not installed (rc-1908) is similar to this VirtualBox installation failed error. Thanks for letting me know about this Legacy Boot issue, I'll take note of it. The macOS blocked the VirtualBox to run, and we need to unblock it in the macOS Security & Privacy configuration screen. Steps to allow the VirtualBox to run: Clicks the top-left Apple icon System Preferences. Yes, UEFI is fine for me too I was simply peeved that the situation existed, not peeved at having to use UEFI. ![]() That disk had a 1/2 installed earlier version of VirtualBox which I first removed with the 6.1.18 uninstall script from the mounted installation dmg. There are however some anti-Microsoft diehards who would go to Niflhel before they would use UEFI. VirtualBox: 6.1.20 r143896 The 'Allow' Button on System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General never shows up. ![]() I have no idea what is going on with your system and am at a loss as to what you could do next, other than a careful read of Installation fails on 10.13.x, 10.14.x (rc-1908). The installation succeeds without any errors, no errors in the installation log too.
